The Space:
Featuring polished floorboards throughout this upper level, you’ll enter the house into a short entrance hallway that leads to one of several living areas - this one offering a comfy 3 seater sofa, elegant occasional furniture, a wall-mounted Samsung smart TV and a Fujitsu reverse-cycle aircon unit. Beyond this living space you’ll find the kitchen, which comes with a large marble island bench, a Smeg dishwasher, Smeg 4-burner gas cooktop, under-bench electric oven, microwave, family-sized Fisher & Paykel fridge, Nespresso coffee maker and a soda stream. The kitchen flows through to the dining space with a round table for up to 6 people. This floor of the house also has a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, built-in wardrobes and plantation shutters for sleep-ins. Another room acts private mini-sitting room but has a sofa which folds out to a double bed, bringing the total sleeping capacity of the house to 6 people if needed. This floor also offers a mini courtyard with a tranquil fountain, and a bathroom with a shower.
A flight of stairs takes you down to the lower level, featuring stylish marble flooring throughout. The bedroom on this floor has a queen bed, built-in wardrobes with loads of storage space and a wall-mounted aircon unit. Off this bedroom there’s also a 3rd living space with a 2-seater sofa, round ottoman and a wall-mounted Samsung smart TV. French doors lead out to a sunny, leafy courtyard with a table for 4 people and rear access from the street behind should you park there. The bathroom on this lower level of the house has its own shower with a stylish frameless glass screen, and theres also a European-style laundry with a Bosch front-loader washing machine and separate Simpson clothes dryer.
The Neighborhood:
With its leafy streets, historic pubs and heritage homes, Annandale is a just a few kilometres from Sydney’s CBD (Downtown) but comes with a charming ‘village’ vibe. The house itself wonderfully located – it’s less than 10 minutes stroll to the shops and eateries on the corner of Johnston and Booth streets, where you can also enjoy a beer and a pub meal at the North Annandale Hotel. 'The Vic' Hotel not 100m up the road to the left features incredible Malaysian cuisine and shouldn't be missed. A ‘Superbarn’ supermarket is under 15 minutes’ walk away. Other nearby attractions include Glebe Foreshore Park and the ‘Tramsheds’, a buzzy food and shopping mall housed in the former historic Rozelle Tram Depot, about 5 minutes drive from the house. Rozelle Markets and King Street Newtown shopping and restaurant hub are only 10 minutes’ drive away.
Getting Around:
Untimed parking is available on the street outside. If you prefer public transport, nearby buses service the area.
Other Things to Note:
* Due to strict noise policies in strata buildings and Australian council by-laws, guests must avoid making loud noise, particularly between the hours of 10 pm – 8 am. Please understand that guests who break this rule may be evicted and financial penalties may also apply, depending on thecircumstances.
* An additional $40 will be charged to your total if a check-in happens after 8 pm, and we require your arrival time as the Concierge does not live on site.
* A mandatory full clean of the property and complete linen change will be done every 4 weeks and added to your total booking amount for any booking longer than a month. This will be added to your total amount and processed separately.
* Extra $40/night will be charged for guests after 4 or if the sofa bed needs to be prepared.
*If you are eligible for a full refund as per our cancellation policy, a processing fee of $50 still applies.
