Summary: We had a fantastic stay at Eric’s chalet: 2 adults, 1 11year old and a dog. The chalet was beautifully decorated, clean, cosy, quiet and well-equipped. There was plenty of room for us all to relax after a day out and about in the mountains. Éric was very friendly and welcoming and easy to contact if needed. Vallorcine is a beautiful! More peaceful than Chamonix but very accessible to the entire Chamonix valley thanks to the little red train (free to use with a Carte d’hote from Éric). The chalet was perfectly placed to join onto the ski du fond (150m), ski bus (50m) and 5 mins drive to Vallorcine train station/cable car. Lovely paths for dog walks easy to find. We used the boulangerie and supermache in Argentiere (10mins car). We would all love to return for a stay in the future.
