Positive: The property was unlocked so we just went in - there are still rural places where you can do that! The location was a rural village in a beautiful area with Lizard Orchids growing opposite the gite. We could sit outside which was in shade later in the day (which, at 38 degrees, we needed!) or sit down in the meadow across the road near to a stream - there was a barbecue here which was for guests use. The gite was spacious and facilities good. The water is drinkable from the tap. The village doesn't have a shop, but you can get groceries from Lalley or Chatillon-en-Diois, and there is an excellent restaurant in nearby Grimone. It is a quiet area with little traffic - bliss! Lots of walking trails and good cycling. The property was easy to find - it's the first track on the left as you enter the village from Grimone.

Negative: There was nothing we didn't like apart from the searing temperatures!

Summary: Would love to visit here again.
