High in the Alps at 1000 meters above sea level, this chalet offers a unique off-the-grid experience. To access the chalet you must walk in 900m and leave your car below which gives guests the impression of being secluded from everyday worries, nestled cosy in their home away from home. There are endless adventures to be had here with stunning views, nature and wildlife. There is a natural swimming pool during the warm summer months and a super relaxing wood burning sauna anytime of year. If you like hiking, skiing, mushroom picking or relaxing in front of a fireplace, this place is for you. Everyone's welcome from families, groups celebrating events, yoga retreats and furry friends.
The chalet sits on an immense 12 hectare property deep in nature and surrounded by mountains. It overlooks an expansive valley that stretches all the way to Grenoble. From just above the property you get an incredible view of Mont Blanc. The landscape is perfect for all sorts of activities depending on the season. There is mushroom picking and nature hikes in the spring, paragliding and wading in the nearby river in the summer, harvesting permaculture fruits in the fall to skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. It's truly a paradise at anytime of year.
The entire chalet is for you to enjoy. You'll have access to 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 toilet, a big main room with an outstanding view of the valley, a patio, an outdoor kitchen and barbecue, a forest and an alpine pasture. You will also have access to our chicken coop for farm fresh eggs every morning.
We live in another chalet close to yours. We will give you all the space you want but are also available if you need help with anything and we're always happy to offer recommendations about the region.
The chalet is at the end of a 900 meters forestry trail and inaccessible by vehicle in the winter. When there is no snow, we will be happy to drive your luggage up the hill while you walk 15 minutes to get to the chalet. When there is snow, we can come help you with snow shoes. The hike is beautiful and easy.
The region, Savoie and Haute-Savoie, is a gorgeous area where you can enjoy nature, good food, amazing mountain views and all sorts of sporting activities such as skiing, paragliding, hiking, swimming, mountain climbing, biking, etc.
If you come by car, you can park right before the forestry trail and then walk 15 minutes to the chalet.
If you come by train, you can stop at Annecy railway station or Albertville railway station and then take a bus that will bring you to the little village down the hill. We can come and pick you up there, no problem.
If you come by plane, the nearest airports are Geneva (2 hours drive from the chalet), Chambéry ( 1 hour drive from the chalet) or Grenoble (1,5 hour drive from the chalet).
