Welcome to your well appointed holiday retreat! The home is located on a waterway affectionately known to locals as Turtle Pond. This community encompasses the best of both worlds fusing together the conveniences of being in the city with the peace and serenity of feeling like you've travelled north to a Muskoka getaway. We are conveniently located only 40 minutes from both downtown Toronto and Niagara Falls (in non-peak traffic).
When entering the home, you'll be greeted by a large bay window overlooking spectacular 180° views of the water. The pond and surrounding area is home to a wide range of wildlife including snapping turtles, blue herons, beavers, foxes, blue jays, cardinals, swans, geese, and a frenzy of fish that can be seen jumping about at various points in the day. The pond also portages onto Lake Ontario. Starting your morning with breakfast al fresco will make you feel like you are far from the city as you are greeted by a chorus of birds.
Enjoy cooking in the chef kitchen that is very well appointed with almost any amenity you could need on a vacation getaway, including several high end appliances. (A full list of every appliance and kitchen tool is listed in our welcome brochure so you can confirm all your culinary needs are met). The home is also stocked with spices, sugar, salt and pepper, tea, coffee, rice, flour and cooking oil to ensure your basic cooking needs are met.
The home and community has a lot to offer to keep you entertained. During the day enjoy a paddle on the provided Kayak or canoe. Have fun playing lawn games such as bocci or badminton or retiring to the zero gravity chairs overlooking the pond. Head over to the local park only 1 minute away to play basketball or tennis. There is also a beautiful public beach on Lake Ontario located a 10minute walk away which is safe for swimming. You may also choose to enjoy a walk, rollerblade or bike ride on the Hamilton Waterfront trail which leads into Burlington.
On rainy days enjoy playing a wide range of board games. or escape to the recreation room which includes a 120" projector screen with a Netflix account on an Amazon Firestick. (Also included is a Nintendo Wii with 30 games) You may also bring any or your own devices to hook up. For some added family fun choose to play either air hockey, rod hockey, foosball or minibasketball.
In the evening unwind on the patio to cook on the Napoleon BBQ followed by creating memories and roasting marshmallows in the outdoor firepit.
Finally, sleep comfortably in one of the four tastefully decorated bedrooms.
