Summary: The residence is in a quiet peaceful location reached via a windy hillly road. In the 4 nights we stayed in early September, we saw, from the large windows of our rooms, clear views of the hills and mountain, starry nights, misty cloudy views and even a lightening show. All spectacular. The two rooms were spacious enough and clean to our liking, affordable, the staff friendly and Chamonix a half hour drive away.

Summary: The residence is in a quiet peaceful location reached via a windy hillly road. In the 4 nights we stayed in early September, we saw, from the large windows of our rooms, clear views of the hills and mountain, starry nights, misty cloudy views and even a lightening show. All spectacular. The two rooms were spacious enough and clean to our liking, affordable, the staff friendly and Chamonix a half hour drive away.

Summary: Nice receptionist and check-in. The location is calm, but to reach there from the highway is a pain. Room was small and simple. The breakfast was surprisingly good.

Summary: Booked this hotel because after a long car journey we wanted somewhere that had a restaurant. Got there and was then told restaurant was closed. Not good enough

Summary: The hotel was clean and tidy, the rooms are comfortable, although this is a large hotel it was very peaceful even at meal times. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would fully recommend. Excellent value for money. We hope to visit again soon.

Summary: What a great quiet place to stay, away from everything, beautiful, peaceful and nice. Rooms were small but we only needed the room for sleeping so it was not a problem. Showers were great, place was clean. Loved the local surrounding area!

Summary: Great location, but let down by the internal fittings. The shower in our room was lethal with one of our group slipping in the shower causing injury.

Summary: Came to Chamonix to ski at Mont Blanc and stayed at le Fontenay. Had a lovely stay but visitors should be warned that the hotel is at the top of a mountain, with steep winding roads (often without guardrails) in a region that gets heavy snow all the time. Visitors should not attempt to go without good snow tires and chains.
