Summary: I recently stayed at Shenandoah House while visiting family nearby, and chose it because it was pet-friendly and had such excellent reviews. I’m so glad I did. From the moment we arrived, we received a genuinely warm welcome from Jim, who immediately made friends with our dog. The room was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully set up. The cooked English breakfast was honestly one of the best I’ve had, and the breakfast room itself was a great bonus, with a fridge and microwave available for guests to use. There’s also a lovely garden, which Jim is happy to allow dogs into. Parking was on street with no restrictions, and the area itself was very quiet. The location is ideal, the beach is just a short walk away, the station is nearby and it’s an easy, pleasant 15 minute walk into the main centre. Overall, it truly felt like a home‑from‑home experience and offered great value for money. I’ll definitely be booking here again.
